Personal collection

The blank kimono is made of an old linen bedsheet my mother gave me. It is the pedestal shape and size opened flat. The pedestal is the augmented shape of a Clinique cosmetic box. The long dress is a rectangle shape and the design is directly inspired by the Wiener Werkstaette movement and Gustav Klimt's work in particular. The original print is a collaboration with Swiss artist Genêt Mayor. The suit is a jacket and a skirt made of circle patterns. They are individually assemble with jute cord. The technic of assemblage is inspired by the wrapping technic of some sake bottles. The necklaces are Dias first jewelry. They are inspired by jewelry Bauhaus main figure Anni Albers made in the 40's.This set of pieces was part of the exhibition Signes quotidiens, Séquence II, an exhibition on contemporary design in Switzerland, curated by Michel Ritter and Nicolas Trembley at the Swiss Institute in Paris in 2005.
